LUCRECE
LUCRECE is raped by Tarquin, the King's son. She chooses to tell her story and demand justice and revenge rather than remain silent. Her courage leads to the overthrow of the monarchy, and the founding of the Roman republic.
Following a critically acclaimed run in India, THE SHAKESPEARE EDIT will bring its thrilling adaptation of Shakespeare's epic poem to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August 2019.

LUCRECE was co-produced with the NATIONAL CENTRE FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS MUMBAI, and presented as a one-off festival performance in 2017 with a mixed UK/Indian cast. It was revived as part of the inaugural NCPA theatre season with an Indian cast in December 2018.
LUCRECE will be recast for Edinburgh in 2019, performing at theSpaceUK - Niddry Street Upper (Venue 9) from 12th - 24th August (not 18th) @12: 15. Running Time 50 minutes.
